After a mere day and a half to recover from Kaufman Kamp, it’s back to work at the dentist’s office for me. (I only work there one day a week, yet often that feels like too much.) I enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night at Kelley and Ned Luberecki’s house, in the company of Sally, Chris, and Joanna Jones, and Jon Weisberger. We enjoyed their new screened-in patio and their box of farm food from the Community Supported Agriculture farm that they’re a member of.
I realize that this post has absolutely nothing to do with banjo playing, so I offer this: over on Banjo Hangout there is a thread going that mentions our new Beyond Vamping DVD, if you would like to add any comments: http://www.banjohangout.org/topic/181472

My only comment would not relate to the content of the DVD since Murphy won’t let me use it. They do say very complimentary things about it at BHO all of which are surely well deserved. Like mother, like daughter they say. Thanks for all your encouragement and hard work at Kaufman Kamp, Casey.
I’m buying it from you when I come to Nashville for a lesson with you in a couple of weeks! This is what I will play for you: Earl’s Breakdown, complete with all the high breaks from your custom lessons; Bugle Call Rag from your custom lessons; and John Hardy with the high break from your custom lessons.
Casey, I think I speak for the many MurphyMethod students who attended Kaufman’s Acoustic Kamp that a great time was had by all. It is always great to see you and Murphy together.
Hopefully, you will be so busy with (1) Dixie Bee-Liner appearances, (2) instructing at camps, (3) private lessons and (4) Custom DVD lesson preparations and sales that you will be able to (in fact, you will be forced to) give up the dental office job.
I would like to nominate an elaboration of your two-hour “scramble” class on “Earl Scruggs style backup to fiddle tunes” for next year’s followup to this year’s Beyond Vamping DVD, which is great, by the way.
Casey, I am so glad I got your “Beyond Vamping” dvd! you really did a good job of teaching! Now I have to really give it a lot of time. Lights are turning on for me!
thank you!
